Didnt think anyone has started a thread about books yet so here it is. Which one are you more inclined to read from? a classic yet timeless book; or a new electronic reader?

Also state some of your favorite books of all time.

    Mine are:
    The Sun Also rises
    Catch-22
    Tree of Smoke
    Farewell to arms
    The Great Gatsby
    Seven Pillars of Wisdom

I read both. The E-reader is nice for whenever I go to the ship or on deployment. Took mine a couple years ago and had enough books for the deployment without taking much space. It's also nice for travel as well. But, I don't like that I can't share my books or trade them in to (what's left of them) used bookstores.

There's nothing like a good old book. No electronic device will replace them for me, ever

lol KEEP IT REAL. Yeah I am going to invest in an ereader for the upcoming deployment. I want to keep up on my reading but don't want to lug a thousand books to the desert.

Because of my profession it's simply easier to carry an ebook with 300 books on it then it is to carry 16 books. Nothing against a good hardcover/paperback book but they do take a lot of space, with that said I have a decent collection of both.

I'm into the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child right now.

I was very against e-readers until I got a Kindle. I'll tell you this, it is a lot more comfortable holding a kindle than a 1200 page Stephen King novel. Plus, I can read at work on the computer and look like I'm busy, and then go home and it knows exactly where you left off. Very nice features indeed.

Audio Books ftw...with 2.5 hours in the truck a day and two kids under 3 at home I don't have time to read. The audio book and inter library loan has changed my life:)
