Boom Slang

Does anyone have pictures of how to install the Boom Slang harness without losing the air tube behind the glovebox?

Mine had no black box around the soddered wires, allowed me to pull it around 90 degrees (nevermind my soddering job, was converting from 2002 to 2000 pin outs)
I plugged into the ecu first, then made it go at a 90 to the right, the hardest plugs to put in are the far right ones

I have one but I’m not really sure because I haven’t installed it yet. Would love to see someone chime in who has the same setup as OP.

 

@Rldanie ended up doing his like mine. It's a bitch to do but possible. You fold the harness back over the top of ecm.

I found the site and it's a bunch of harness conversions, but for what?

 

For people that want to play in the mud.

 

looks like the same as a LC engineering pickyback harness, you should be able to fold it/tuck it in and still be able to keep the ac tube. I was able to get the mofo to fit.

 

Isn’t there supposed to be an airbag there?

 

It’s for people who want to tune their engines. Toyota ECU’s of this era are locked and can’t be flashed (like Nissan and Nistune for example) so you have to run what’s called a piggyback harness that has a piggyback computer. Basically just another computer that can be tuned that’s wired in-line with the factory ECU.

 

Air bag still fits.

 

I’ll have to bother you about this more later, mine still needs to be installed.
