Correct me if I'm wrong, but this kit can transform a Pro shift knob to one with @MESO DIY stealth shift knob buttons (included) that will work to trigger a relay for latching components, like auxiliary lights or auto high beams. The @MESO buttons are momentary, and this device will transform them into latching buttons. Although super cool, the @oostroma shift knob illumination mod is not entirely necessary to achieve latching buttons.

 

You are correct.
I designed this to compliment my illumination mod for the shift knob with @MESO micro-switches. It can be used with any momentary switch as well. You could also use the @MESO micro-switches to work in parallel to switches in the dash for off road lights.
I also incorporated input from the flashing security light in the dash to flash the LED in the shift knob when the truck is off.

 

Did the video demo the capability of the PCB I designed?

 

Yes, it did! Only, it was somewhat difficult ascertaining the light outputs that were switched "on" because the lights were below the base of your demo unit, and I couldn't tell exactly which button was pressed because you were pretty quick. I used the TR7 module connected to my shift knob to achieve a latching button for the auto high beams.

 

I should redo the video. I had only used 9v power supply that I had quick on hand but have a proper 12v power supply now and could slower in the switching. Note, my kit is PnP ready with all input connectors required.

Howdy! I have meso pro shift knob and have been looking for something to use the momentary switch on the right side of the shifter.

I tried to hook it up to my switch pro 8100 to trigger some lights but it didn't actuate the lights.

Would this allow me to use that switch pro 8100 trigger?

 

Yes, I designed the relay kit to work with both MESO micro-switches as you can see in the diagram but you could connect one only of course. You would connect the output of the relay in the project box to the relay on the 9100 relay tray. The relay in the middle of the project box is configured to output power to an indicator light when the outside relays are triggered.
Although I designed it to work with my TRD Pro shift knob illumination mod it could also work with the new "The Taco Garage" single button shifter with momentary switch or "The Taco Shop" with a single or dual momentary switch.

Another option is to relocate the ECT button to a more convenient place in front of the E-brake like I did and then you could use both MESO micro-switches for lights.
