Found a missing bolt that I need to replace on my front transfer case mount. No biggie.

Probably going to pull the valve cover and intake for some inspection and cleaning. Probably going to do the EGR delete while I'm at it to eliminate some of the vac lines.

New axles are in the works. Kicked around a set of FJ80's and decided on Tons.

Started collecting parts for the axle swap.

Truck has been at a local shop diagnosing an oil leak and hard starting problem. Turns out my oil pump was toast and my cold start thermoelectric switch was bad. I was told by the mechanic it runs like a dream now. Should be picking it up at the end of this week or early next week. Then I can start taking some measurements for the axle swap and deciding if I want to link it or not. Going to try to wheel it a couple more times before I swap axles.

Got the lower support structure burned in along with adding some more steel. I had to redo a couple of welds that didnt look too secure.

Just waiting on the Arctec fuel cell mounts to show up along with a few misc fittings. I am still looking for a good place to mount my fuel pump. going to ponder that over a few beers tonight. Any suggestions?

Well, I finally got the fuel cell in. It was more work than expected.

Support structure in and painted. I ended up mounting the fuel filter and pump on the back wall of the cab.

Everything in and most importantly the ice chest has a new, easy access home on the truck.

I got most of my skins put on the tube doors. I decided to only skin 2 of the 4 openings on each tube door. I need to cut the last one out and get it welded on (after I replace a part on the plasma).

    On to the axle swap.

I have been accumulating some parts as of late. Im going to build the 14B first and then move on to the D60 which I still have to pick up. Probably just going to do leafs front and rear unless I find some more $$ laying around.

So far I have a set of 538 thick gears, disc brake kit from Gubni, Barnes diff cover, HAD 14B to Toyota flange, Ruff Stuff u-bolts, perches, plates, and 14B pinion guard.

Need to make a decision on which locker I want to go with in the next few days. More than likely a Detroit.

That should get me started on the rear for now.

Once the rear goes in, I will sell the ifs rear, pull the front axle and sell the wheels/tires since I want 17's.

That SHOULD pay for the front axle and at least a set of 40's (I hope).

I serioulsy can't wait to swap in the new axles.

Added a little boom to the red truck over the weekend. A single Punch 10 and an older Alpine 5 Ch amplifier.

    Cost = free.

Sounds pretty decent. I need to play with the settings on my head unit some more tomorrow. It's a little late to be bassin in the garage.

Everything worked on the first try.

    Initial test

    Cleaned it up a little

I got all of the trim installed last night.
Just need to put the passenger seat back in this evening.

I really like it so far. I need to arrange the layout a little better so it's temporarily placed for now.

Got a nice piece in from Jesse at Hi Angle. This thing is nice. Almost have all my parts together for my 14B.

Got my tube doors painted and did the quick release pins in the hinges to make swapping doors easier.

Jambo is heavily attended by FJCs so I figured I need be some light bar action to fit in and add to my trail cred so I started on a roof-mounted radius light bar. I got it all welded up and in place. It will probably have to be moved back a bit when the light bar is installed to reduce glare. Final placement will be determined by the dimensions of the light bar.

Got my light bar finished and painted. I picked up a 42" radius bar on Amazon that didn't break my wallet. I ran the wiring up from under the hood and up the A-pillar to supply power for the light. I used grommets and some clear poly sealant to seal everything up. I have about a 1/4 inch gap between the bottom of the bar and the roof. I also moved the mount back further to reduce any unwanted glare off of the hood and windshield.
