The guy doing my diffs is really hooking me up along with the gears, his brother in law is going to help me with some/most of the welding on the red truck as well.

    Cant wait.

This is very similar to my 85 build. When all done, nothing puts a bigger smile on your face than going over a 4 ft tall boulder and staying nearly level. :D. Can't wait to see the final product.

Thanks it will be a lot better really soon.

I have a LockRite for the front now so I will probably use that along with the stock front axles till I kill them. Then, Longs and the Detroit. Unless I un-ass the cash for the longs now.....

Well my diffs have been dropped off to be regeared and locked up as of last Saturday. I do believe that is the hardest part of my build.

I also found a buddy that let me have and 85 front axle to start adding my knuckle gussets, 3/8 spacer, top axle truss and ring gear diff armor to off the truck. My pimp Marlin HiSteer will be going on as well. He will be taking my stock one in trade. Excellent deal!

In the third pic I posted above of the front without the bumper, you can see the front body mount has been pushed in about 3/16". I went to a certain friends house (The Yota Ranch) last night and sourced a new body mount to swap out in the mean time.

Looks like the cutting will begin and possibly end the weekend of July 10-17th. I cant wait

Since the 33's on the truck have been sold, I also had to find a new set of rollers for the red truck.

Picked up a set of 35/12.5/15 Goodyear MTR's (80 to 90 percent tread) for street use and have reserved a set of 37/12.5/16.5 Irocs for the trail. :D

I also figured out that cleaning the cold start injector helps out well....cold starts. That things was gunked up! Starts like a champ now. I might pick up a new one just because.
