I might be taking out a front leaf to lower it down a little. Its sitting as tall as the 4runner on 39's right now. A little too tall for my liking

Got to some little stuff yesterday. My camera batteries were dead as shit so no pics. Will be added later.
Got my new headlight housings installed with the Vision X H4 bulbs. By far the easiest and best mod I have done asthetically.
Got my shifter seats installed in my Transfer Case and Transmission.
Started working on the Front Axle. Going to clean up some welds and my fab guy is going to burn it in really nice.
My donor housing was missing a few studs, so i did a little research and found out they are an 8mm x 1.25 x 41mm long. Picked up a box of 25 bolts with lock washers and nuts for a little over 7 bucks.
They thread easily (from the inside) exposing more than enough bolt to tighten down. TG has a kit similar to this for 29 bucks for 10 bolts and a tube of RTV. I think not. I will get some pics this evening or tomorrow evening.
Pretty much got the go ahead to work on it as much as possible for this week and weekend. Im pretty sure we can get it knocked out.

I got the oilpan dropped, cleaned and painted last night. It need some attention. Most of the bolts that held it on were not very tight. At least not 9ft/lbs like the Haynes manual says. Maybe thats why oil was seeping from the sealing area :) I will get it put back on tonight.

On another note. I got my oil pan reinstalled and poured in 4.5 qts of new Mob1 10W30 synthetic and a new filter. So the oil is ready to go.
I got the studs put in the other axle housing. A ratcheting box end wrech worked really well. The 45mm studs are a little longer than the OE ones. I might cut down the bottom 2 or 3 on the bottom end of the diff to keep them from getting ate up on the trail. I will see after we have the third installed.

I got some progress done last night. Got all the new studs installed in the diff (w/ lock tite) and started getting my donor knuckles and spindles cleaned up. Today Dale should be going over the welds on the housings with his TIG to clean up the previous welds since they looked a little cold. One of the spindles was missing a brass bushing so we are getting another over as well.

Looks like my gasket job is holding well on the oilpan as well

Ill probably try to get my tires mounted on my new to me 15x10 black wheels this next week some time.

Here is some other stuff I got finished with.
Got the TC shifter seat put in. This really firmed up the shifting pattern

More pics of the axle. Dales welds are awesome BTW. He ended up using his MIG instead of the TIG due to technical difficulties

I also test fit the HP 3rd. Its a little tight but I think it will go in with some technique :)
Also got the knuckles spray bombed as well

I messed around with this thought last night

Did a little playing around in MS paint. This is how I want to trim the front fenders up.

Yeah. I love mine. That is the reason Im selling my 09.

I have probably have $40K in the 09 which gets shitty mileage, cant tow and has no room.

    and

I have a little over 10K in this truck which got 18-20 with 35's and stock gearing

Its a no brainer. Im getting a tow rig with cheaper payments and better mileage

Yea that makes sense. I'm averaging 19 on my 2010 and it's bone stock. Thats gonna go way down once I lift and put tires and all that jazz.
    PM sent.

How does the 22re do with stock gears and those 35's? Your putting 5.29s in it right? but what are the stock gears? Sorry for all the questions?

Just thought I would play with Corel photo paint a lil bit. Fender trimmed from a different angle. :)
