The 550’s use the same style plug as the stock injectors. But the 440’s have a rectangular shaped plug. I’m not sure why I got those adapters which mine. Maybe they sent me them by accident

Here’s the documentation that came with mine

    image.jpg

The numbers look the same. Just the PN has a Y after it on yours which I'm guessing means Yellow

I was hoping to install these Thursday they do look the same except for the Y but I did order the correct connectors and will see when they come in.

That should work out well then. They usually ship stuff pretty quickly. I’d call them Monday just to ask to make sure they’re the same thing and just yellow on top for whatever random reason

I just sent a message asking the difference and I do really want to put them in Thursday but if the connectors don’t come in I should probably wait instead of chopping

Since you already ordered the adapters you might as well use those when they come in. I was going to cut mine when I was putting the 550s in until I realized they were the same plug. Then again with the 440s I was going to cut when I saw they were different then I pulled the plugs out of the box and saw they were the adapters. I was like “fuck yeah”. I think I literally said that to myself out loud in the garage.
I think It was a total mistake on their end. Lucky for me

I’m putting them in right now and I just wanted to make sure because the rail doesn’t seat all the way down like it did. I don’t want to break anything

0D8C8728-7320-458D-8B07-86596DE8B1A6.jpg Should I put washers here on both sides because it gets really tight before I tighten it all the way down.

Does the fuel rail have to be tightened all the way against the head or do the injector just need to be tight in the rail ?

You want it to squish a bit to keep the air pressure in the intake plennum with a turbo, but that looks like too much squish. Get another small washer to take up most of that space to get the bolts tight. I cant necessarily see how much space you have there, but yes, the bolts should be tight to the head holding the injectors in.

It was loosened when I took the pic so it’s about 2 or 3 washers worth when it’s tight but I wonder if @boostedka had this same problem

0E87A855-657D-4141-AF26-D6C9D49A7164.jpg I put 3 washers on each side and it seems ok just tight. Now I need the p&p connectors to get here so I can button it up and test drive.image.jpg

Mine fit snug all the way down. I lubed them up with a very small amount of oil to help everything slide together on both ends
