Boot slide mod (my experience)

    Stock with a camper shell for now.
    Going to try this with both boots (inner and outer) on both sides but try and install it with the factory cv clamps. Have to monitor it for slipping and any leaking. Doing this pre lift to try and save the boots when I do lift it here shortly.

    Already had the driver-side out side boot slip the other three have held tight.

    Just did mine. Super easy, nothing out of balance as some have speculated. I only did the inner boot though. The outer was a PIA to get to so I just left it since the fins on that one weren’t actually rubbing

    You realize it’s the inside of the CV shaft that spins, not the outside right? Toyotas own clamp has a large lump were its crimped up.
    Nothing is going to be thrown out of balance with a hose clamp.
