Just ordered these today Ben. Glad I found your thread because I'm in a pretty big hurry to get them. So once I saw that yours took 30 days, I pressed them hard to get them quickly and they said they should be to my door by next Weds.

Well, here is my dilema. On my 1999 first generation I am running the 16 x 7 OEM wheels with the 30mm offset for 2005 to 2014 Tacomas. They have new 265/70 Michelins on them. The front tires rub the frame on tight turns. My wheel studs are about 1 and 1/8 long. I don't see any pockets that would allow protruding studs. I've been told that 3/4 inch spacers will solve the problem. But I'll have 24 studs to cut down. I was all in to get 3/4 inch spacers. Now I think I should go 1.25 inch and avoid the stud issue. Any problems I'm inviting going with the bigger spacers? I think I'll still be mostly within the fenders at 1.25 inches of spacer. Thanks!

Go into my gallery for pix and re-read post on Boras from way back when..

My '02 needed width help on just the fronts and I installed .75s and they went with the truck when I sold it.....One of the best dam investment I made for that Tacoma....

There are a few post in the group buys but I can not "nail" it too just one....

Those things were never a bother ; re-checked torque when wheels were off for Pm's but that was it....

Sadly ,they went with the truck when we out grew an extra cab..:(

Thanks for jumping in on this. I reviewed a bunch of posts and called Motorsport Tech again. My studs were probably replaced at some point because they sound longer than normal to the guy I spoke with. To avoid replacing the studs or cutting them all down I've opted to go with 1 1/4" BORA spacers. I think it'll look great and handle great. No more wide turns! Frame rubbing sucks. I'll do the before and after photos later this month. Just bought a 3 ton floor jack and a torque wrench so this should be easy.

I am doing all 4 wheels.

Put a hunnid thou on boff a dem! KiKi caint mush do dat!!
These trucks i think look the absolute best when the are built just to sit like a truck. Nothing crazy, just 285/70/17 all terrains, an inch or so in spacers and 2 or 3 inches of lift and level. Thats what i have on mine. . . Actually, front was done with the 2 inches of room and 1 inch spacers when i bought it, im in process of having the rear done. Dont ask. . . I think the previous owner met a salesman when he was in service and took the bait and traded up bc my salesman said something about the previous owner mentioning the new parts at home. Oh well, i only have to pay for half of what i was going to do. Oh, and it came with BFG KO dam near 85%!!

Just got a break in the weather up here in Maine (I work in my driveway) and so just got the spacers on. I had tried about 4 weeks ago when I was doing some other work but my front wheels were stuck to the hubs. I tackled the front first and did manage to get the wheels off using some penetrating spray and the loose lugs, drive around in the driveway technique. The front spacers did not just slip on over the studs. Things were a little "catchy". I think there was some hanging up on the studs so maybe some of my studs are a little bent or somehow misaligned. I did put a light film of anti-seize on the mating surfaces and I gently tightened the spacers until they were nice and flat. I torqued to 50 foot pounds then to 70 foot lbs and then finally to 83 foot lbs with a brand new Craftsman torque wrench which worked very, very nicely. I used the same incremental approach when tightening the wheels. The back spacers were a piece of cake. Wheels came off easy and the spacers slipped right on. I was very glad I had bought a brand new 3 ton rolling floor jack a couple of months ago! My before photos are bad! However, the truck looks great and my turning radius is much better now that I don't rub the frame with my front tires!! Incidentally, I did have pockets in the wheels which would have allowed for thinner spacers. I think .75 inch spacers would have let the wheels clear the frame at full lock out but it would have been very close.
The 1.25 inch spacers leave about a quarter of an inch of clearance from the frame on full lock out. Thanks to all those who have posted on this and other threads. This entire process was made vastly easier as a result of this forum!

    Happy BORA customer reporting in.
Just got my 1" spacers installed on all 4 corners.
It's a well made piece and the look at 1" is the stance I was seeking.
Slight rub at full turn in reverse--we'll work that out w/ a fender massage.

Where did you get them from? I've been waiting for over a week for mine to be shipped.

Lenny at BORA hooked me up. He advised that they run in batches and it would take 10-12 days to receive. They showed up on the 12th day. Hang in there!

Plan on pulling the trigger on some 1" BORA's. Best to just order from the motorsport-tech website or through Amazon? (I am a Prime member).
