Car make loud sound, monke smile.

I have 3 children and they love going for a ride in my truck, but I don't think my wife would like it if I got something louder than the current Flowwy 40 series. From the current consensus MBRP is pretty loud.

That's quite subjective... sounds like stock at ideal, but about 2200, really kicks in and sounds awesome. Doesn't drown out the stereo at all at highway speeds. Check out Youtube, there is a good vid with comparisons on 20 or so exhausts.

If i were to get one, it would probably be the Stromung, doesn't sounds completely like shit, not super loud, decently priced, and the tucker version relocates the tip from the rear for more clearance.

    you're not wrong!

How about Black Widow? Every part of me tells me that this never sounds like shit. I'm cheating though because I've removed the secondary cats and have a variable Y to X design dual exhaust setup. This could still give you an idea of what it would sound like, you guys have 3.5 though so your results may vary.

When it comes time I am thinking carven is the way to go. Haven’t heard bad reviews on it.

Is it a dual exit muffler? I have the Flowmaster American thunder 50 series with dual exit pipes. Looking to maybe quiet the truck down but keep the tailpipes

Yes, it is a dual exit Borla muffler to both sides of the truck.

Does the catback not offer any performance gains at all? If it is just for sound maybe a muffler swap is the way to go.

Not really, they all claim that they do, but if there's any gain at all with a cat back, it's at the top of the RPM's.
