I put in 4% of my salary and they put in 12% for local gov.

State was 4% - 4%

 

I’m “tier 3”, which is the pension anyone starting to work for any type of government job as of 2005 I believe will get.

Some Tier 1 guys are making 100+% of their average last 5 years...

Tier 2 guys are walking away with about 60-70%

All The calculations are pretty cumbersome but last year some bills went through the legislature that were turned down ultimately that would have taken away 85% of the already low 40% that I’m looking at when I retire in 20+ years

I’m not super complaining but at the same time I wish that I could count on at least 45% being there at the end of my tenure but I doubt it honestly

Passed my second calculus exam

 

Supposed to get a foot of snow tonight

 

Got 6.5” Friday night early/Saturday morning. Woke up today to it being 49 @445am And it’s already 43 @625am with a threat of snow later today again.

Wish it could make up its fucking mind. Haha

 

Should be off and on cloudy/rain/snow for like two weeks here.

 

And you guys don't have the equipment for it out that way. If I lived in the mountains outside of Seattle I'd be down there hiring myself and my truck out to the town to clear side roads for $$$

 

We’ve gotten 5 feet so far this month. Ran out of places to push it so we called in the big guns last night

 

Jealous. Everything we've gotten for snow so far this season has been chased by rain. We've had probably 4-5 feet of actual snowfall so far, but there's only about 6 inches of extremely hard-packed ice/snow/crust on the ground.

 

You guys could always be Missouri..

Last Wednesday, we had ice/snow storm from 8pm to Tuesday afternoon. During the middle of the night, a thunderstorm and a tornado warning made an appearance.

It's been a rainy week now, supposedly more snow this Friday.

 

Today will be 68 outside and sunny. Tonight a low of 34.

 

That's unfortunate. Nothing like sitting in front of the fire with a good book and a better drink in hand while a snow storm howls outside.

 

For me it's perfect. I have a fire pit outback. I don't have to shovel snow to get out of my driveway. Can enjoy being outside in the sun and get a lot of yard work done. Just a perfect day weather wise.

 

Ehhh...The perfect day is 26 and sunny, with no breeze.

 

Hey @Cativelense hows soccer league going??

 

So far so good. We dropped the one guy that was one of our guy's boss's son, and been much better.

No games this week because it's Valentine's Day, so next week we play the best team in the league. Should be "interesting".

Just living...... PT twice a week but at least I’m not in the office anymore..
