i remember middle skrool was a bit of a culture shock, ...the other kids said you had to roll your jeans real tight to your ankles, ...or else you'd have bell bottoms

...wasn't many preppy "zack morris" types, ...but a lot of metal-head types it seemed... then in high skrool, ...a lot of grunge-types and a lot of jocks...

LOL, I remember that shit. In fact I can remeber the kids face who 1st started that stupid ass trend. Infact I remember a group of kids that dressed like that, wanting to start a boy band like the New kids on the block! Man, that's funny, brings back memories!

 

And don't forget the neon colored shirts, canvas Dockers shoes and girls with big, hairsprayed bangs.

 

For some reason, I seem to remember parachute pants, and overall shorts (let the straps hang down if you're cool) more then anything.

 

Ya the big strait up in the air bangs was a funny time.

I remember the overall shorts too. I never got into that shit, thank God. Although in grade school, maybe 3/4 grade, I did want a Michael Jackson zipper jacket.

 

Members Only jackets with the shoulder snaps.....

 

I was born in 1976. I feel like I am half 80's and half 90's. Everyone wants to define according to decade but really mosy people fall into both like I did.

I feel like I was there for the start of the Micheal Jackson craze but then also for the new generation of grunge when Nirvana burst onto the scene.

I also saw the birth of rap going mainstream and I graduated high school before anyone friends had a cell phone or the internet.

All you youngins today, could you imagine life without a cell phone or internet ?

 

Yep I remember high school when a kid or two had a pager, I think they were our local drug dealers. If we had no internet where do we go to find porn?

 

Yeah I remember my senior year of high school when a few kids got pagers. It was a big deal because only drug dealers were supposed to have pagers.

As far as porn......you had to raid your friends dad stash....or be cool with the middle eastern liqor store owners

 

Can't argue that fact...my town was too small to get anything from the liqour stores

 

Yep, we had to raid peoples collections for the penthouse, or national geographic for a reasonable first time naked chick experience.
