Hey guys.. I have a MicTuning switch that I want to switch on my On Board Air compressor.. I have ran a switch from the compressor switch to the mictuning switch but the actual "Light" on the switch doesn't come on. primarily because its not having voltage pass through it, so I know that I have to use a relay.. but what I DONT know is how to wire up the relay.. I think I searched and found a relay wiring diagram on here, but it has no mention of the red wire for 87a. is it used? and if so, then where does it go? any thoughts would be greatly helpful. thanks!

here is the said diagram, and on the right is the actual relay I bought

87a is not used. If you can, remove the pin and wire from the base connector of the relay shown.
Now about the lamp not coming on when you select the switch...that be a burnt lamp..maybe.

Yes, I'd source the juice to the switch to an accessory or ignition source.

Heres the relay setup and the add a circuit all put together, heatshrinked and tested. It will be mounted under the dash. Bought some two-wire plugs to run to the pump and power inverter mounted in the rear of the cabin
