Both key fobs not working right

Actually got a fix. Very long explanation, but the short of it is i had a Toyota Camry harness installed at the factory due to having a early model. This worked in theory as they have very similar components, however, time showed that is wasn’t correct. Toyota repaired and replaced computer free of charge. It was a whole fiasco that would have cost roughly $4000 retail.

 

Was your fob working to lock and unlock the truck? Mine just started messing up recently

 

It wouldn’t work at all except to start the truck if it was placed against the start/stop button. I had to use the key from the fob to unlock.

You had a Camry harness installed on your Tacoma?? Mice eating wires due to insulation made of soy?? Ive got that problem along with the key fob not working
