Well I picked up this 2011 Prerunner back in June after i grenaded the tranny in my dodge.
the Toyota dealership here was giving 3k minimum for anything you had so they gave me 3k sight unseen for an 01 Dakota and I got this.
    WP_20150603_001.jpg

had it for a month of so and threw in a double din, didn't like the way it fit so i switched it out for a single din kenwood and a cobra cb and bent a piece of lexan for a switch for the pa
    cb and wood.jpg
and a 1200 watt MTX amp and a 12 inch pyle sub
    1200w.jpg
    installed a dashcam
    dash cam.jpg

installed a 3/2 inch lift i got off ebay. 3 inch strut spacer, 2 inch block
    3 inch.jpg
    bought a set of 16x12 DC2's for 250
    cepek.jpg
took the flares off and put on some 305/70r16 mud grapplers, low tread but they were free and I needed beach tires.
    no flare.jpg
I do construction work so I needed a rack of some sort, so 10 bucks worth of 1 1/4 conduit and a tie down rail.
    grill.jpg
I'm not a big fan of chrome so I shot the grill with some krylon fusion and some rusto bedliner
    rustolined grill.jpg
    black grill.jpg
I keep my chains and shackles in 30 cal cans so I needed a mount and had some old bed frame laying around.
    WP_20151125_002.jpg
and I always need a bench vise when I don't have one so I took a receiver hitch and an old satellite dish mount and boom hitch mounted vise.

the basic goal of this truck is to follow the look of my old 4-runner, with a few updates and not quite as big, most of my offroading is done on the soft outerbanks sand and a little mud but where I'm at in NC its mostly sand and some water crossing.
    the runner.jpg
a little background on this truck, this was my first truck in highschool. 86 4 runner, 4 inch rough country lift, 3 inch body, 36x16.50r15 DC FC1's on 15x12 American Racing alloys. 5.29 gears open diffs, 22re, nothing special but it was my favorite truck to date and really set my love of toyotas in stone, she never left me stuck and never let me down

still need to make a stinger and make a plate up for the rad guard but I'm pretty happy so far considering it was free

got a set of Dick Cepek fc2's, 33x15.50r16s about 1/4 tread but the were only 40 bucks and perfect for the sand so I couldn't pass them up

took apart the console lid and wrapped it in a Gas Monkey Tshirt. the grey rubber cover was starting to fade and I thought this looked pretty decent

yea I like wide tires. I hate the way trucks look with tall tires tucked way back under the fender

started to do a little work on my bumper. cut 2 inches out of the outriggers and built a grill gaurd.
blended the welds in as best I could and it came out just about dead level.
    0131161138.jpg

    0131161138a.jpg

and here it is welded to the bumper

    0131161204.jpg

I'm going to run 2 inch angle iron along the uprights and top of the gaurd and use expanded steel as the center piece
