    Too few to list.
10k is a little long than what I like but so far, 130K of trouble free miles.

12k KM up here for oil changes. I'm letting it go that far as I'm sure Toyota warranty peeps have it all figured out. Oil today can more than handle 10k miles. The less time I'm dealing with that shitty set up of an oil filter the better.

My wife got a 2016 4Runner and it is far superior (performance/drivability wise) to my 3rd gen. The motor and power just feels so much more responsive on the low end.

cant agree more. the build quality of the 4runner is so much higher than the tacoma. I guess being built in japan has its advantage

As much as I love my tacoma, if the price gap wasn't so wide I would of definitely gone for a 4runner.

2016 trd sport would have been $42k before freight, pdi. They would not budge off msrp as Tacoma sells like hot cakes and at the time the 3rd gen was only out for a few months. They took $3,500 off my 4Runner trail premium bringing it down to within 1k. For what you get in vehicles it was a no brainer for me. And I already have a 2nd gen taco for work.

the advantage of have the 4runner built at the #1 vehicle plant for Toyota, the Tahara plant. this is the main plant that makes most of the lexus models.

    edit :

    Vehicle production
Lexus: LS, GS, IS, IS F, GX
Toyota: Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado, Vanguard, RAV4, WISH, 4Runner

I thought I remember someone on here saying the next gen 4runner will be replacing the 4.0 with the 3.5...is that true?

Going to be interesting to see how that works out if that is the case, seeing how the 4runner weighs more than the tacoma.

Nothing concrete that I've seen but that's a safe bet.

The 4R can't be beat in terms of quality, but the 4th and 5th gens have looks that only a mother could love. The 5th gen with the scoop with the dropped snout is the epitome of fugly.

I hated the front of the new 4Runner when it first came out, which is why we bought a 4x4 limited because it has a more classic look, but the trail grew on me, so we traded it in for the trail premium. But I still can't get over the front of the 3rd gen taco tho. I still think it's awful.

Rumors are that the 5th gen is the last gen. EPA regs on lot mileage are killing low mph vehicles such as the FJ and sequoia.

most likely it will get the taco 3.5 that is currently in the 3rd gen. the only question is the gearing and rpm's to get the hp and torque out of it. the new engine you have to push it like the 4runner to get it to move compared to the old 4.0 engine. and the surge going from Atkinson to otto cycle on the taco engine is kinda annoying at times.

My wife and I are looking at replacing her subaru with a 4runner Trial Premium but recently when I was on Toyotas website this trim was no longer offered, it was a TRD Offroad 4 Runner????

Same model, Toyota just rebadged/renamed it. Does it include TRD shocks finally? It better for 40k +
