Run!!! I mean like you’re being chased by zombies... run. Nothing they can say or do would make this right other than give you all of your money back.

How long is the turn around time on the frame replacement. Myself I would have already walked with my check. But since you’re still on the fence refer to my question.

If you go the route of the frame replacement does your warranty start upon re delivery or are they soaking up that 30 day period and once they are done with the frame you’re still stuck with whatever else is messed up that you find at a later date ?

Ship it back to the manufacturer? That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen today.

“We ship it back to the assembly line. They’ll finish up the trucks that are on the line. Then they’ll put your truck at the end and just run the line backwards. Then when it gets to the beginning of the line, they’ll run it forward and put your truck all back together. They’ll have it all done in 5 hours and 16 minutes.”

Like everyone said, take your $$ and go somewhere else. Frame replacement is a long and complicated process. I wouldn’t want to be out of a truck that long. You might gain some value when it’s fixed, but it might be total crap too. Here’s one in your area WITH a topper.

I thought at first that the frame replacement option could be just the ticket for the OP especially if they did other stuff with it. After her quoting them as saying they would send it to the manufacturer to have it replaced I would take the money and find a better option. As far as I am aware, th dealrships are doing the frame replacements not the manufacturer so that statement makes me concerned they will simply send it to a welding shop and have the frame patched and coated, but who really knows? At this point I just don't believe I could trust them

Familiar with the phrase 'blowing smoke up your skirt'?

Your dealer and you in your Sunday best could be pictured as illustrations.

And if you fall for the patter, you'll also be pictured next to gullible.

Now then. If you are a public transportation city girl, where did your mechanic relationship come from?

It seems that the conversation is starting to turn from supportive to combative. I am glad that I found this forum and walked away with valuable information, so thank you so much for that. Im signing off now but will be back with an update and name of the dealer when everything is resolved. Thank you again.

Then again, some people have not said that. Way to be the arbiter of the thread. It sounds to me as if the OP is probably capable of and in the process of making an informed decision without a summary judgement...

I think you could go back in and request a refund, but I think it would be up to the dealer whether or not to give you your money back. The lemon law as I have understood it in the past and how it reads on the flyer from the NY Attorney General is below. Not to scare you, but I dont see frame listed for parts covered under the lemon law.

For Used Cars The Used Car Lemon Law protects those who buy or lease used cars from a New York dealer. It requires dealers to give consumers a written warranty. Under this warranty, dealers must repair, free of charge, any defect in covered parts. If the dealer is unable to repair the car after a reasonable number of attempts, the consumer is entitled to a full refund.

Duty to Repair: A reasonable chance to fix the problem is considered to be: • Three or more repair attempts and the problem continues to exist; OR • The car is out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of 15 days or more (although unavailability of parts may extend this time)
