I think in the time I posted my reply the OP came in and said as much about the nature of the replies. Roll your eyes if you like, but how new people feel when they show up to a community to ask questions for the first time is a pretty good measure of how supportive that community is to its purpose. Might be better off rolling your eyes in real life and leaving your comment unpublished if your attitude toward rehashing some similar comments in a discussion is take it or leave it, everyone's told you the answer already.:hattip:

Well, if it is a fake thread then we are all just a bunch of eye rolling d bags arguing about who the fuck knows what. I'm just saying- nobody really needs the "shut up cuz we already told you" guy, much less someone brand new to the forums. Not unique to this forum- just in general.

Don't let those who respond with negative comments prevent you from.coming back, or from asking for further advice. Just ignore them like most of us do.

Good luck with the whole situation. .No matter which way it goes. and
    Welcome to the forum.

I guess I didn’t go back and read much of the middle portion. Didn't know it had turned ugly. :notsure:

I saw some disagreements but not much truly ugly. We all have a right to our own opinion and sadly, on here, it leads to arguments

I have always respected everyone's opinion. Some comments just seemed to be going from bring helpful, to not so much. I just didn't want the OP to become discouraged.

That's the problem with the typed word. It can be taken in the wrong context. Maybe it was just my Interpretation. :notsure:

You are most likely right and deffinately right about the typed word being taken wrong at times. Like you I like to encourage people on here to ask for myself its the best way for me to learn

It sounds like getting a refund is the way to go. Meantime, I found something on facebook marketplace (private owner). 2008 tacoma, 4D 5 ft, V6, topper, 133K miles, 12K in monroe, ct (right next to the mechanic that I took my lemon to). He sent me this info:

No mechanical issues. Only 2 things: - I was rear ended a few years ago while sitting at a red light. Very low speed and very little damage. Rear fender left corner is dented in. - Rear left tail light has a small crack in the upper corner plastic, I can replace it before selling. Here’s some pictures of the underside:

    Initial thoughts?

Wow, that's a ton better than the first one you shared with us! Although the frame looks much better, there are a few spots that I would want to take a closer look at. The whole area near the Catalytic Converters has always been a problem due to the heat there accelerating corrosion. Second, there are a few rusted areas in you pics that I'd have your mechanic tap with a hammer to see how solid they are. Other than that, have your mechanic give it a solid once over and get back to us.

As for the rear end hit, I don't think it's a deal breaker. Just check for possible frame damage in front of the bumper. Used rear bumpers are pretty easy to come by.

I really hope this one works out for you!

That truck is leaps and bounds better than your previous truck. Of coarse, now you know to have it inspected before you buy it.

Since the rear bumper is color matched, it would appear that it’s a TRD sport, but there’s no TRD stickers.

If that includes a free loaner car/truck while the work is being done. Also make sure it is a new frame not previously owned.

They are simply using that to eat up the 30 days. So afterwards they can say Toyota denied the frame. And you're stuck now since its past 30 days

Exactly what @Too Stroked said. That looks a ton better. If it checks out frame wise, see if you can get 'em to throw a bumper shell in. It's a bolt on, I'm sure your mechanic can help you out there.

Could be a base, though those are usually matte.
    edit-oops, disregard cross posted..

You really need a picture of the inner frame rail by the cats. The rust bad in those spots. Also need picture of the inner frame rail by the rear leaf spring mount
