So I think we've all got a bit of cabin fever going on due to the current state of things. I needed to procure a clutch pedal assembly for my manual transmission swap and while I could have purchased a used one from a parts yard, I decided to do something different and maybe a bit crazy.

I decided to build a new clutch pedal assembly from OE parts from Toyota. There are several bushings and cushions that break down over time, not to mention the spring so I figured it might be nice to have a new one.

So I found a diagram of the clutch assembly with part numbers and went to work. I cross referenced these part numbers against my project (2003 v6, MT 4x4) on toyotapartsdeal.com as they have good diagrams and item info. Once I was confident I had the right item I added to the list to purchase.

Here is the site I used for the diagram. (Doesn't have switches listed, only mechanical)

Here is a finished part list and cost from mcgeorgetoyota

    SPRING TORSION 90949-03022 1 $16.28
    Pad, Clutch Pedal 31321-52010 1 $2.30

So once all of these parts arrive I will take pictures and document the process. Shall be an interesting adventure. I figured I would make this post in case someone ever wanted to do something like this or just needed the part number for something related to the clutch pedal.

    Cheers!

Stuff from Toyota finally arrived today. So I went ahead and built the clutch pedal assembly. Here are some shots from the build. I am happy to report that this is more than do-able and if anyone were to need or want to build a new OEM clutch pedal assembly this post should give you everything you need. Feel free to shoot me any questions.

Pile of parts from Toyota (not all of these are for the clutch pedal)

All put together. Haven't lubed or tightened anything obviously. Just getting it all together.

Dude you are awesome for doing this, I am going to be doing my manual swap soon. The donor I have with 300k has nothing wrong with the pedal assembly but it is a little sloppy and figured might as well just rebuild it while I have it out. I have been procrastinating looking for the parts for a while now, thank you for posting this, definitely made my search much shorter.
I’ve started a write up for the swap too but haven’t actually started the job yet, look forward to following your thread

That's awesome, glad someone else got some use from it. This community is fantastic and I am very happy to give back as much as I can. I have been following your thread also and our parts list looks quite similar in a lot of cases. I guess the race is on! ;)

Next side / fun project is: Since I have to pull the starter when I swap the manual trans I bought all the wear components from Toyota and plan to do a full rebuild (Contacts, brushes, springs, plunger, o-rings ,bearings and gear) and learned a ton, for example my truck has the cold package which includes an HD starter so I had to purchase the different item numbers for that. (it's a good thing, it's higher kw). I will be documenting it about the same way as I haven't found a complete guide anywhere on the inter-webs.
