Bought a topper, color matched at a good price. only problems it has is that the front window, the complete front window is missing, and the rear door is missing the glass .

The main issue is i can't seem to find out what brand the topper is, no serial numbers or anything.

Ill post pictures of it tomorrow, but do you guys know of any places that i can buy the parts i need?

Yes, i tried google, $400 for a door assembly is absurd.

    Thanks

Replace it with plexiglass from a hardware store. Cut to shape and silicone into place.

there is no rubber on the front window, the silicone would hold?

I know your pain. Bought one of craigslist for $80 all color matched and everything but no rear door. Mine sucked especially because the model I bought was just a curved piece of glass instead of a door so I couldn't just get a glass shop to cut a piece
Here is when I bought it.

    upload_2015-9-13_18-32-30.jpg

After $350 later for a piece of glass here it is

    upload_2015-9-13_18-32-41.jpg

I would say get a quote from a glass shop or even plexi glass it as that is a cheap alternative

ill have to find a glass shop i guess, maybe i could plexi the front, since nobody would see it, and have a piece cut for the rear.... hmmm

so cut the plexi and silicone it to the fiberglass?

also how is yours mounted? i see you still have your bed liner in... or it appears you do with the rail covers.

Yeah I would plexi glass the front too.

I have a bedliner that covers the rails. I just cut some holes in the bedliner up to where the rail is, just enough to get the clamp in kinda like this picture

ah ... thats a good idea. I was going to butcher the bed liner. What clamps are the proper ones to use? i see there's a few types...

Haha it really does depend on the topper. My first topper I bought the wrong clamps and this happened

    upload_2015-9-13_18-52-19.jpg

I can go get a pick of what mine are now. Mine are a simple J hook but the topper was made for it. Kinda like this

    4. 6 would be overkill. Also you know what else you can do? Install a rubber boot on the front. My old shell had one instead of a window and the rubber would just cover the gap by pressing against the cap. like this

The person before me had it on a truck with the back window solid as well. But yeah I see what you are saying. Still might be less invasive than siliconing a plexi glass window.

I recommend a boot for the front as well vs. a solid piece of plexi. I have found I can carry 10' sections of PVC and 2x4"s with the rear hatch shut by opening the back window and passing it through. This is assuming you have a rear slider on the cab.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
The same company makes the windows for both Leer and ARE. I don't remember the name but they won't sell to the public. I tried when I broke the rear glass on a topper I had in an old truck. And they only sell the whole unit and not just the glass. So, unless you can come up with something like plexi or custom cut glass you're in for about $500+ for the rear and probably near the same for the front. I hope you got that topper really cheap.

also what I've read about the boot is that it'll take paint off, my truck isn't a Caddy, but I'm not cool with that ...

That's what they say but unless your paint is already falling off It doesn't do anything. I had mine on for 2 years and never lost any paint. Also It hardly even rubs enough to really do anything.

I can see after so many years it can like a bedliner takes paint off but with it being rubber and not hard plastic I feel like it would take a very long time if anything
