    $5.50-6.00 a foot....

plexi is cheaper , but it'll probably be a pita trying to get it to stick on there

Ah damn that is pretty pricey! Yeah nothing is cheap or easy with shells. That's why you see so many broken ones because they aren't worth fixing.

I had to ask the dealer who installed my glass if I got a good deal to make sure I wasn't getting screwed. I just saw it on craigslist and picked it up without researching because it was color matched and rare to find one color matched!

i paid a little more then you did, but my truck being a reg cab and impulse red, it was nearly impossible for me to find a good top

also it gives me an excuse to get out of the house LOL

the guy i bought it off of had it painted to match , but he had a ext cab like yours, so he ended up with the gap which he didn't like. lucky for me.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Rubber gasket for the front. Rear window.... you're on your own.

Ah that is impossible to find! Yeah the dealer said I was lucky and spending total about $430 was not bad for what I got and if it was on his lot it would be about double that.

I think the price is all relative. I go camping a lot so it was worth it and if you are going to use it a lot, I would do it right the first time.

Go hit up a camper place, some rv places double in that aspect as well. Good news is, quite of a few of the brand toppers use universal size windows and quite a few of the parts are interchangeable. In that same regard, I have even found my camper at a junk yard, granted in a rolled truck but front and rear glass was still intact.

I paid 100 bucks for my camper, albiet not color matches so there is that :/

I picked up a front slider from a company (Zoresco - cap broker) a few years ago for ~$100. The solid window I have in is bigger for some reason so I haven't put in in to fill the gaps :(

i just pulled it, It was in place of the glass

i think I'm going to plexi the front and back.

for the front ill have to use a some stainless nuts, bolts, and washers, with a silicone gasket.

the back ill do what that guy did in the video, just hopefully i can find a dark gray sheet.

Yup. I was there about 2 weeks ago buying clamps and strip moulding for a buddies camper. I thought that bay opening and dumpster can looked familiar.

Also, OP, What plexi you planning to use? Friend of a friend suggested Lexan instead for stength?

Also, since your backglass is flat and not curved, you may be able to find a glass place in your town that will cut one for you out of laminated glass, for safety.

Silver, 6 foot truck caps are the most often seen version on CL. My Dcab shell front window is just plexi glued in place. Bought it like that. Keep in mind that these things are crazy expensive brand new. My brother paid $1000 for an ARE cap, with no windows and the rear door was aluminum. The most basic version they had.

Depends what I can get my hands on. I emailed a local glass shop, even though I said I would bring in the frame, they told me they need a template an a piece of the old glass so they can order one.

Since they're the middleman I don't think it's going to be too cheap.
So I'm gonna call another shop

I also called a topper shop for a front window replacement quote, still waiting on that call-back.

What type of glue do you think was used? I was thinking about using liquid nails, or some type of emblem glue...

Got my call back from the topper place. (Pretty reputable place)

They told me the front window was cut for a boot, and his recommendation was a piece of plexi and jb weld or liquid nails .

Also called a glass shop down the street from my job, I'm going to bring the frame in tomorrow afternoon so they can let me know my options.

How would plexi and liquid nails do?

And where would I get a rubber gasket ?

Hell I don't know, but neither of these materials are all that expensive, I don't see why the silicone wouldn't work.
