Bought headlights from a TW member that are damaged. What would you do?

A true scammer would send NOTHING at all. Take the money and run. The fact they sent you something at all makes me think they believed them to be 99% ok. Ive learned a lot of people think this type of damage is no big deal.

Hit them with some plexus polish and go forward with your retrofits.

 

Mistakes were made on buyers side, but that doesn’t excuse the deliberate hiding. Hope you get made whole op.
This is the kind of thing that has prevented me from buying from this site since it doesn’t have a feedback mechanism.
Any chance you could try a chargeback?

Generally, this stuff doesn't happen. I've always gotten what I bargained for. That said in times where that's not the case, trust the mod staff will not tolerance it

There is no way they have gotten scratched that badly. I spent 2 hours packing these to make sure nothing shifted. I even labeled all the boxes right side up. The only way this would have happened would have been due to shipping

What I want to know is why weren't the actual pictures of the headlights used? It's one of the issues I deal with buying old bmx parts. I have to reverse image search and do regular searching.

OP should post up some pictures of the boxes to show the damage.

 

After reviewing your photos, those are the corners of the headlights. That only happens upon installation. These were only removed, not installed. I don't want to point fingers but those look like a troubled install. Tacoma fenders are sharp, and if you don't know what orientation to install the headlights, rest assured that's going to be the outcome. You ask how I know? Because I installed my left pair carelessly and also scratched my aftermarkets. I will supply you a photo for evidence

 

Red flag just because I'm a new member? I'm still here defending my claim that my headlights only had 100 miles on them. If I were to scam him, I would've ditched this account already

 

I have the same scratch on my lamps. Definitely install gone wrong. Lol

You sure you didnt scratched it during your removal and just didnt noticed it?

 

I just sold my headlights for $380 and i paid shipping. Completely scratch free, only 1 year of use.
