Hey I'm new I bought my 2009 Tacoma trd offrooff on Monday. I've been window shopping at Tacoma's for over a year. I got a great deal on her the former owner built it almost exactly how I wanted and it even had a couple of things I didn't know I wanted.

I took a chance because it has a vibration in the front end and a few other things that need repairs. I'm a capable mechanic and I figured that for the price I paid I paid it would be well worth it on the long run. I've spent the last 4 days (free time) reading the official front end post on TW. Now I'm confident that I made a good purchase. I ordered my bushing from ECGS today. Thanks to this forum I'm well educated on the vibration on my lifted Tacoma. If anyone is lifted or thinking of lifting their truck read that thread.

Anyway I am thankful for this forum. Here's a picture of of my truck. IMG_20190101_105318197.jpg

I'm not sure. I suppose if you put an attachment on the rack to lift the kayak up it might clear the cap.

Looking closer at it the cap is a few inches higher than the rack. I don't have kayaks but I'm sure that I'd have to put a board or a bracketIMG_20190105_102301030.jpg on the rear of he rack to lift the kayak up some to clear the cap. Here's a better picture of the top.
