    Welcome. Nice truck.

Has it been wrecked or repainted?

Limited has the matching fender flares. But had chrome mirrors. You have the base mirrors, but matching fender flares. Seats look like base seats (non limited), but leather on it.

    HMMMMMMMM....

Carfax was clean (I still have it) so I’m not sure what to make of the combinations you see. I’m also not sure what to expect in terms of what gets reported on it, though. For example, it doesn’t say anything about a timing belt; but I don’t know if that’s something that would automatically be on there or if repairs/maintenance items are opt-in. (I should probably get a new timing belt any way though.)

What about the seats is base? The fabric or the design?

Leather looks too good to be that old lol.

Probably added that + painted the flares. Seems well taken care of

I googled briefly and saw that there were “color key” options for different paint schemes. Maybe that’s the story with this one.

Ya dude, it’s in pretty good shape. I like it more every time I drive it.

I suppose it’s possible the previous owner modified it, but nothing appears to be janky or damaged because of any possible work that was done.

    No

    Limited came standard in leather
And seats were different shapes with adjustable lumber etc

Yours are base seat someone converted to leather

Lots of parts of different models on this truck

Doesn’t Really matter, as it’s a good truck and you are happy with it

I just have a PhD in gen 1 so I notice all the things that are wrong ....

Ah ya. I see what you mean. Maybe “wrong” isn’t the right word though. Haha Maybe “different.” Unless I’m still mistaken, it looks like the previous owner made some cosmetic upgrades over the years. But I agree with you — doesn’t matter as long as the changes were done properly and not jerry-rigged. And everything seems in order.

Hey off-topic but still in regards to my truck — I’m assuming you have/had a first-gen, since you have the PhD. Did you upgrade the stereo? If so, I’d appreciate it if you have any feedback to offer in the audio thread I started this morning.

Everything on my 2001 is original. My stereo is original. I listen to AM ESPN sports radio only. Never listened to music in my life.

    Maybe dealer options?

You can't go wrong with a 4 door truck. Now you can haul stuff and get the most out of Home Depot! I use the bed in my little truck all the time.
