Nine inches from the back of the bumper to the farthest edge, This is not a permanent accessory. Comes off like a receiver hitch.

My truck was hit at 30-35 mph, no frame damage and was inspected by Toyota dealer. Best thing I ever bought

You should get off road more - a lot less to worry about apparently!

Maybe the rear tail lights are too small or not bright enough and when texting the dumbass peeps miss seeing the bumper.

I should get a sticker that says "quit texting you f#ckhead".

We've had our Honda CRV rear ended by folks texting like 4 times in 5 years. One was at like 4mph guy was coming to a stop and looked down to text and forgot to stop - bam ran into my bike rack I had in the trailer hitch and bent my trailer hitch ruined bike rack and the rack went thru the rear window and he was still texting when I walked up to his window!! Of course wasn't his car and he didn't have insurance....

I'm gonna get a big ass steel rear bumper when they start showing up, that way if I get rear ended its going to hurt the ass wipe that hits me. I'll wipe off the paint and be on my way.

Thanks for taking the time to measure it. I know it's removable but you know how it is, if you have to put it on and take it off every time you leave the house, you end up not using it. I will definitely be getting one when I get this truck.

The bad thing about the Rhino bumper step is that it's not designed to absorbed the energy impact. It's more like a extension of the bumper so in a 20-30 mph, the truck frame and you will feel the impact. I looked at the Rhino step before I went with the Sparebumper. After two rear end collision I'm happy I got it instead of the Rhino step.

    BTW good looking truck

Are these bumpers legal in California?

Excellent, I'll be looking for a shock absorbing bumper with the cool springs.

I've had this bumper for 3+ years and every cop that has followed me has not said one thing about. Several has said it's a good idea and great for wipe lash protection which is it's true purpose.
