Bought this beauty today - 1994 4x4

Mine was reliable and got about the same mileage as my current 3.4L. Unfortunately, it offered nothing in the performance arena, especially when hauling camping/hunting gear in the Colorado high country...

 

im driving a 94 pickup with a 22re that has 204,600 miles on it all stock and is still running like its new

the only bad thing is its a 5 lug

98 doesn't work
86 has it and works perfectly but it needs a motor so that dose a lot of good

That could be a while. Mine had 206K miles on it when I sold it. Didn't burn a drop of oil, passed emissions test with flying colors, and got about 18MPG. I put nothing but basic tune-up money into it for the 100K+ miles I put on it. (My only complaint was it didn't have enough power.)

 

Good to hear, maybe it will last longer than I thought. I really just want a rig to wheel and drift in the winter without having to worry about scratches and stuff.

Myn burns a tiny bit of oil so I'm going to try that leak stopper stuff tomorrow with an oil/filter change and see if it helps.

but if it ever gets tired, just drop a 22r with a cam and port work in it with a 34/36 reddie..it'll rip harder then that 3 slow would ever go on a factory brand new longblock with everything lol.

my buddies old runner got about 19mpg out of it
ran great but gutless motor..a stock 22r is about the same..if not more lol.

no, never even driven one, Im just going off of what I've heard. I would skip it unless its a really good deal.

I will probably pull the motor in the spring anyways.

Yea I would be dropping in a 22re for sure. Solid axle swap will be sometime in the future if my buddy doesn't convince me to do a LT setup.

You live in Kelowna, I'm sure you'd get much more use outta a SAS, vs an LT

 

Seems to be mixed reviews. There are a lot of them that make it to 300k with no problems. The head gaskets are a known problem but other than that they seem to sounds pretty solid except for lack of power.

i have 214,500 on my 3.0 getting the engine rebuilt in feb going to run 2500 bucks but if i get another 100,000 its worth it and if you had the recall on the head gasket and had it fixed it not a problem the older 3.0 like mine did not have the recall that was on the later 3.0s

 

Do you know anything about stiff gas pedals? Thats my only issue with the truck. That and no AC.

 

Couple supra guys have done 1uz swaps lol then turbo them..sick stuff..
