    All 2009 and newer Tacomas have TRAC (Traction Control)... so there is a reason for your surprise... the open differential has a helper!

    If you push the VSC button quickly, then you activate 'AUTO LSD' which adds more power to the limited slip TRAC system by eliminating the engine output regulation (that TRAC in 2WD has).
