Autotrader photos could have messed up, so many dealers, I've seen that.
Did the sales guy state it was TRD?
    You said your paperwork didn't?

Based on what people tell me to look for in TRD packages, i definitely do not have it. is $16K for 38000 miles too much for this truck?

I am going to my local toyota dealership tomorrow to sort this out. I actually bought it from a used honda dealership 150 miles from me.

We can't tell you if 16K is too much cause we don't know what you have man...Once you have the options packages figured out you can use nada.com or kbb.com to figure it out...

Best of luck figuring it out, I think the price is good for a low mileage truck in mint shape...get the vin run by Toyota as the folks have suggested & keep us updated

Just doing a quick price check, 16K don't look bad for a SR5 or TRD as you describe it.

Looks very clean, did you click the link for the carfax report, I see it on the listing? Talk with Toyota and than the GM at Honda. Honda may have had nothing to do with this, the salesman may have done it on his own to make a sale.

Seems like a good deal but,

Tell him for the trouble you want a thousand bucks back or an extended warranty.

If he tells you to pound sand and you still want the truck anyway...

I'd tell him his sisters crotch smells like low tide

At the end of the day I think you've got a really nice truck and don't let this hiccup take away from that fact....By the same token,if there were some shinanigans by this dealership or a salesman, thay need to be accountable.I too think that you have some leverage on them for selling you something it isn't.

i think at least the extended warranty that i declined when signing should cover it! that just might cost them nothing after all...

That is a good looking truck but you can tell by the wheels that it isn't a TRD Sport or Offroad. I think the truck looks nice and it seems like a fair price.

    That looks like a SR5, non-trd.
It is not advertised as a TRD and if your paperwork does not state TRD I wouldn't think you have much to complain about after you already signed and took delivery of the vehicle. I agree the sticker placed on after the fact is misleading, but if you didn't know the difference then your fault at being an uninformed buyer. If you weren't expecting a TRD then you got exactly what you wanted.
You could try to get something from the dealer if you wanted, but like you said they could say you put the stickers on since none of the paperwork or ads state TRD.

KBB Suggested retail on a SR5 non trd 05 Access cab Prerunner in Florida is $18375.

    http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/Pri...e|67624|true|67663|true|67656|true|67800|true

You should have the items listed in one of these 2 packages..
SR5 Extra Value Package (SE) - (cost savings of $400) -- CFC-free air conditioner with cabin air filter, chrome grille surround & rear bumper, color-keyed front bumper and overfenders, sliding rear window, metallic-tone instrument panel trim, variable speed wipers, sun visors with mirrors and extenders, SR5 badging

SR5 Extra Value Package (SL) - (cost savings of $950) -- Remote keyless entry, cruise control, variable-speed wipers, chrome grille surround and rear bumper, color-keyed front bumper & overfenders (PreRunner and 4x4 models), fog lamps (V6 models), sliding rear window with privacy glass, metallic-tone instrument panel trim, leather steering wheel with audio controls & shifter (A/T models only), sun visors with mirrors and extenders, SR5 badging

and if you have your paper work look for the (se) or (sl).

The main differences in TRD and SR5 is the TRD has bilstein shocks, look past your tires and you will see that your shocks are not blue and yellow and you also do not have a locking rear differential. You have 16" steel rims with 245/65/16 instead of alloys with 265/70/16, so get some better rims and tires. The only other things you don't have that a TRD has are the overhead temp/compass, power outlet in the bed, engine skid plate, sport seats.
