Still like to see the TRD stickers they put on...

My 2 cents...TRD Baby...I mean really...who doesent like to know how cold it is outside??? lol

The power inverter isnt all its cracked up to be...I use mine for recharging batteries and cell phones...Ive used it for a camping light once...vaccum cleaner once...And a few other things...

Is it worth 1200$ for all that plus the extra shocks....Who knows...Go to the local toyota shop and drive one...Im sure they have an old 05 or 06 sitting there somewhere...

    See what you like...

I think if I was the one that was taken about five post later I would be down at the dealer taken car of business. The longer you wait the more of the chance you have to get taken out of your money. Listen500 bucks is a throw in the bucket. Do you want a hyundia or a Honda? Do you want to eat at Mc's or do you want to eat at lone star. Fake or real? I will make alot of enemies right here but I'm old school if I want a fake I'll go back to school. I bought a TRD sport 4x4 for a reason. I'm the real deal like my ride. They screwed you period I would take it back and feed it to them through a straw. Good Night.

Fake or real... who cares! I'd still go for the lift on the truck to pick up a new gal to ride for real. Oh wait, isn't this the boobs or lift thread ???? WTF !!

Take the truck back, shop again, the truck is in great condition, but i cant understand how a reputable dealership, doesnt run a vin check on a vehicle they are buying?, its stupid, they are the first ones that want to screw you, but if you try to screw them its very hard, so I say theres something fishy here, they knew it was not TRD and they sold it to you like it was, hoping you wouldnt find tacomaworld.com, for that dact alone, i would take it back and get another one.... go trd this time! hehehe

Get the paper work together that shows what a TRD package is worth. Some one said 1200$. I would show this honda dealer that and say pay me 1200$ bucks or the deal is off. Good chance that they will pay up. The story he got is shady. What dealer just takes a guys word on it?:der:Sounds like some :poking: to me. They all ways run the vin#

Did you all miss the part where he said that no place on the paperwork and no place on the ad does it state TRD and that he went to buy it thinking it was not a TRD??
Then he got there and saw TRD stickers on the bed and assumed it was a TRD even though he thought it wasn't and he didn't confirm before he paid and took delivery? He got exactly what he went there to get for the price he was willing to pay.
It is not advertised as a TRD in the ad or on the paperwork.

Here is the KBB value of the truck he bought..$18510
    http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/PricingReport.aspx?YearId=2005&VehicleClass=UsedCar&ManufacturerId=49&Condition=Excellent&ModelId=300&PriceType=Retail&VehicleId=1757&Mileage=36800&SelectionHistory=1757%7C30401%7C32202%7C0%7C0%7C67576%7Ctrue%7C67624%7Ctrue%7C67656%7Ctrue%7C67663%7Ctrue%7C67683%7Ctrue%7C67800%7Ctrue

    And the TRD version...$18675
    http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/Pri...e|67656|true|67663|true|67800|true|67683|true

So the value difference is $165..take the $500 and keep the truck since you didn't think you were going for a TRD when you went to buy it anyway.

I think when I go to sell mine I'll put some stickers on it and sell it as a sport ;). Oh and my base model is currently worth more than I paid for it!!!

what do i do, jut look in the yellow pages for a laywer? wont that cost a lot? they ARE offering to remedy the situation or take the car back. $500 just isnt enough..

I realize i wasnt trying to get a TRD truck anyway! but in light of this situation and shady practices, i am wondering what else they may be covering up. Only a large discount will squash those thoughts

To the OP, if you want TRD take it back. If not and you're happy with the truck, take the 500 bucks. All this business about contacting a lawyer and what not is a bit over the top, IMO since they offered to take the truck back.

there full of it.. when they take it in as a trade they run the vin before they even offer you trade in value on it.. they knew it was a non trd when they took it in on trade. they sold it to you as a trd and by offering to give you 500 bucks or let you return it they admit it. if you like the truck and feel you got a fair deal take there 500 and dont worry. if your a fighter id raise some real hell. IMHO
