Back in 1999 I bought it with about 20k miles on it. Within the first year had a aluminum cap made for it. Since the cap was a contractor one with about 12” higher than the roof it was heavy and the truck leaned too much in corners so I went to a spring shop and had 1 extra leaf added to each rear spring pack. Made all the difference in the world. Last year I went over 200k miles and the engine check light would come on for a while was told it was a vacuum leak not to worry. So I kept driving it and ran it low on oil my fault. Currently it is at a shop having the engine removed and brought to a machine shop for a complete overhaul. Was told by the shop doing removal that proper break in will be to change the oil at 500 miles then again at 500 miles then put normal oil changes.

Ok I have my 98 Talcoma back running great did my first oil change at 500 miles and today the check engine light came on. Went to Auto parts store and ran the code checker and P0120 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit is showing. They had the Sensor in stock so I bought it. I see where it is and it will be tight but doable. When I started the truck to leave with my new Sensor in my hand so I can change when the engine is cooler and the check engine light is no longer on. I still plan on changing it and when I do will I need to clean any possible carbon from the mounting hole? And does anything else need to be done after replacing?
