Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Recommend you look at apples to apples match up with your buddy’s setup. Same lift, same settings, no leaks from suspension or broken coils/spindle. Are you running e rated tires? What air pressure?

It is somewhat relative when you say bouncy but e rated 10 ply tires aren’t very soft or flexible and somewhat over rated for our trucks. You could play with the PSI some and see if that helps. I run less in the rear when not hauling or towing. About 4 psi less. Does your buddy have the same tires? What about everything else? Same rated coils? That is typically the biggest culprit.

I run 40 psi in my load E 33s. I feel like they ride nice and smooth. Might be my suspension. I put money into my lift. Rough Country is known for a rough ride.

Yah I've been looking at different kits. No not the same tires he has 6 ply MT tires. Same exact lift almost the same exact truck that's why I'm so confused I'll play with the PSI see what happens

C rated 6 ply make a huge difference. The PSI will help some but will only get you so far.

Does your friend happen to have a TRD Offroad?

The Offroad has different coil springs than the other models.

Unless it was different in ‘08, then OR and Sport share the same progressively wound coils, but varied valving of the bilsteins.

Either way, you could probably put on a set of GEN 2 Sport Coilovers on and give it a go. Should be fairly inexpensive and I would place a wanted ad here first and check craigslist. I don’t recommend using GEN 3 setup because of the weight difference and will probably make your situation worse.
