Just FYI, lake sonoma has a pretty cool progressive/challenge archery range. (Not sure if that's really what it's called... I don't shoot.) it's basically a hiking trail with stops along the way with different archery targets. Think Disc Golf with bow and arrows. I noticed it one day while riding my MTB up there... If you get unlucky with the piggies, you could always check it out.

I know right i cant keep anything stock! The draw is so silent with this rest and my groups were a lot tighter this evening at the range. Ive shot way too much this week so my arms were getting a little fatigued after about 70 arrows down range so i called it quits for the night. Shooting about a 3 to 4 inch group pretty much center mass on the target after installing this rest.

So, any tips on how to get started with bow hunting? I haven't touched a bow since high school, and never a compound. I saw Archery Only has some groupons for basic classes, are they any good?

Yeah it was 4 in one group 1 solo big Hog and 10 little 40 to 80 lb pigs. Pretty damn good hunt.

First thing I would go is start shooting if you want to hunt you need to shoot a lot. For a Bow whats your budget? They range from $399 to over $2000 for a ready to hunt package.
