    If your worried about the pin backing out, just take a piece of copper wire and run it through the hole in the pin and twist it around, copper is easy to bend without tools and doesn't rust.

    I wouldn't tighten the pin a bunch because they do seize up.


    A trick we use when rigging is always run the pin in hand tight and then back it off 1/8 of a turn, that's so when you put a load on it the pin can slightly turn without binding tight
