Alright... Auburn almost blew it for EVERYBODY, but managed to pull it out. I was actually watching that game with a bunch of AU-fan friends. I don't know how they did it... if that had been an Alabama game, I would have pulled my hair out. It was fun to watch, though.

Anyway, here are the results after today's games. jhodge is in the lead, but there are several just 2 points back who have more possible points to gain in the games to come...

johdge is still in the lead, but I had a mighty fine day yesterday, if I do say so myself. My confidence in SEC teams was well placed (though I ought to send something nice to that ECU kicker for sucking so much).

After the bowls yesterday, here's how everybody stands:

Everybody saw everybody's picks. Check the chart w/ everybody's. I'm the first one. I didn't throw confidence points up there b/c then anybody could have calculated the leaders and I wanted it to be suspenseful... but my picks are out there like anybody else's. So na-nuh na-nuh boo boo

    ROLL TIDE!

It's down to the National Championship game now. If Texas wins, so does Gouge44. If Alabama wins, jhodge and I will be tied and it'll depend on the tie-breaker. I have 49 points, jhodge has 31.

Here are the standings as of the Orange Bowl:

Like I said, jhodge and I tied w/ a Bama win. My tie-breaker was just 9 points off the final score, and jhodge's was off by 27. It seems a bit anticlimactic to name myself the winner, but that's how it turned out.

Next year I'm going to get my shit together sooner and do one of these with ALL of the bowls. I guarantee I don't win that.

    Here's how it ended up:

Hah.. yeah, no rigging. I'm as surprised as anybody that I did well. I usually do TERRIBLY in these things. Next year I'll probably send the whole spreadsheet to somebody else before hand just so that there will be two people who can calculate the rankings. I still think it's more fun if not everybody knows everything, though. It keeps you in suspense, and coming back to the thread.

I think I'll try to get a better prize, too. Maybe get in touch w/ the vendors. Who knows... it's a year away.

I've gotta go take a picture of my truck for the banner now!
