Did a little exploration along the Utah/Arizona border with some family. Cold, snowy, muddy, fantastic!

How much do you usually air down for snow?

Depends on the conditions. I was at 10psi in the snow this past weekend.

Are you still running MTRs on this bad boy?

No, I have a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC's on it right now. I love the MTR's and they're still my first choice of tire, but I couldn't afford them last month when I needed to replace them. So far the MT's have been impressive. They're more noisy than the MTR at slower speeds on the road, but everywhere else they've done very well.

Hey Adam, this may be a dumb question, but I've always wondered where the Box Rocket comes from. :anonymous:

I've been wheeling with the new control arms for a while now but never had a chance to really check clearances etc. Found a ramp near my work to check everything. The new control arms are great. Zero binding and the poly bushings aren't being stressed at all since the Johnny Joints handle any deflection.
I still had 4" of shock travel and plenty more from the springs so this is not at the limit of suspension travel. Still have both front and rear sway bars attached too. Really happy with the Slinky suspension and Trail Tailor arms.
The Slinky suspension has got to be the best flexing "bolt on" suspension for the 80 series out there. I had thrown around the idea of doing a 3-link up front, but really don't feel the need anymore.

Have you seen "The Green Slug" on reddit/r/4x4? Similar rig with a nasty 3 link. Check it.

I bought a second 80. First one is living in CO, but I needed another one to play with. It's cheaper than a girlfriend, right?

I completely agree. Truck is still looking great bro. Could you do me a solid bro and measure you're upper and lower control arm lengths eye to eye. I asked Justin from Redline what his numbers are as well, just trying to chase down these vibes I'm getting from the rear with my angles. Thanks

Uppers are the same length as stock. Lowers, added 3/8" of length over stock.

Lousy pics but I whipped out a simple fuel can basket last night. I have a trip coming and needed a better way to carry extra fuel. Have debated a second swingout but didn't really want to go that route. Solution? Single can holder added to the existing swingout. It meant moving the hilift mount. That's getting relocated to the hinge side of the swingout.
