I wonder how awkward this would look on a long bed with a toolbox in front of it.

The Raptor liner is great. It's been on the trailer for almost 8 years and is still in awesome shape except for one spot where I had a jackstand in the trailer that was loose going down a bumpy road. The jackstand was bouncing around and chipped a couple spots on the floor. But otherwise it's been really good.

I've got too many irons in the fire these days working 3 jobs so the racks have had to take a backseat. I still don't know when I'll be able to get back to them. Sorry.

Do you have a drawing and a material list that you would be willing to e-mail me? I would like to build my own but don't have time for the design and trial and error.

Ok. not to be a jerk, but c'mon. Do you contact a company and tell them you like their stuff but don't want to pay for it and ask them to tell you how they made it so you can make your own because you don't have the time to figure it out and instead want to take advantage of the time and effort that someone else took to figure it out? I don't think you're really that lazy or disrespectful, so just think about what you're asking next time.

Sorry, but this gets under my skin. I have no problem with people who want to build there own stuff. Heck that's why I build my own stuff so I applaud people who come up with their own stuff and make it work but please don't just mooch or even worse, flat out steal someone else's design. It truly is nothing more than that...theft. If you want to build your own rack or bumper or whatever else, that's totally cool but make it your own. Or if you do want to use someone else's design, don't expect them to just hand it over for nothing.

    Rant off...... sorry.

I was just asking because it are saying that you are to busy to take any more orders these days. I would have happily bought the drawings from you but now you can eat a dick.

Listen, it wasn't directly entirely at you. And I tried to acknowledge that I didn't think you meant to intentionally "steal" stuff. But the fact is I have lost count of how many times people have asked for plans and material lists for these racks and my rear bumper so they can copy them and not have to pay for it. So my rant is directed at the general populous more than it is directed at you specifically.

But its easy to say you'd happily have paid for drawings after the fact. If that was your intent, then say so up front. But from your post, what am I supposed to think? It clearly came across like it was looking for a handout when you say stuff like "I don't have the time for the design and trial and error", so sorry, but I don't know how you expect me react any differently since I can't read your mind or your intent through your keyboard.

Sorry to drag this on further but felt the need to chime in. If you don't have time to design and trial and error, what makes you think you have time to build it? Building it takes just as much effort as the design and even with plans you will still most likely run into some trouble shooting. I have seen several similar designs to this on the web, tubbed, boxed, tall, low, etc. Pull out a tape measure, mock up something you would like with some cheap pvc pipe or discarded wide paper rolls and make it your own. Ideas will come to mind during mockup that may drastically change the way you intentionally envisioned the design. Designing should be the fun part and give you a sense of pride. Box Rocket takes pride in his work and it shows. He has every right to respond the way he did.

What a jackass!! States that he would have bought the drawings after the fact. Haha, good recovery! Way to keep it classy at the end by the way. You don't realize that there are not many members on here that are willing to share their ideas and skills with the Tacoma community and work with people on their preferences in design. Bottom line, respect should be given. Once you loose their respect, it's hard to get it back. I'm done.

I have been conteplating the idea of getting a RTT and if I did. This would be the bed rack of my choice and also the Tepui tents. Hopefully by the time I am ready, you'll be making the racks again.
