I'm not gonna point fingers and call anyone an idiot. I'm glad nobody was injured. Honestly, shit can happen if you get the slightest bit careless with a gun. Anytime your around a weapon, always remember the safety rules. Never assume anything and so on because it could be the difference between life and death.

I found a pic of his "miltary" brother-in-law. I really do not believe that an Army Butter Bar should count at "military".

I guess the good news is that the bullet did not ricochet and injure either of you. Even trained professionals have stupid tendencies with firearms! Search Youtube.

We're not going to see any pics because it didn't happen. The whole story is just that, a "story".

My brother returned a .22 rifle I let him borrow a few weeks ago with the clip loaded but not one in the chamber (I didn't know bullets in the clip). I racked it to make sure it was empty like I always do but wasn't paying attention and inadvertently loaded it. I shot a hole in my bedroom floor when I pulled the trigger to "uncock" it. Accidents do happen but I am not sure his did.

if this "story" isnt a story.... buy your brother in law a helmet, grab a wiffle ball bat and beat the common scense into him. not saying im the gun god. "dont pull a gun if you dont intend to shoot, dont point it at anything you dont want to kill"

Instead of increased background checks. People should have to recite this from memory to purchase a firearm.

Take 10 minutes to memorize and half a second to forget after you have purchased the firearm. Just like college. Study for the exam then forget the info after

True, but not everyone went to college (or high school for that matter). At least they would have heard those rules. If 1 out of every 10 people that just "memorize" it actually "learn" it, then its a worth while practice.
