BP-51 Settings & Tire Wear?

    I’ve never seen such a thing as this ever! Suspension nor alignment! I’d venture more to say the tire is out of round or not balanced correctly. But I’m def not an expert, Sub’d for the pro answers!

    @Schwartz - Think we have finally figured this out. One of the guys i talked to said he thought he saw it mentioned in another forum and did some digging.
    In most instances this kind of wear is caused by bad suspension components and that never made sense in my case because it’s a relatively new truck with BP-51.
    What we figured out it that it’s probably my compression and rebound settings. I’m running Compression at 1 and Rebound at 1. Running them that soft is probably simulating driving a car with worn out shocks.

    Interesting diagnosis but it does seem plausible. Cupping is usually not an alignment problem but inflation being wrong or worn out shocks, which being underdamped would mimic that.

    Its probably the tires. When I had those tires they refused to wear evenly. Only got like 20k miles from them too.

    Former suspension tech here and this sounds a bit crazy to me with newish suspension. In no condition should an off-the-shelf off-road suspension kit be so soft to cause that much cupping unless you are using like 750lb springs in the front and some HD rears with no load. That's the kind of thing we'd see when someone sticks aggressive, overinflated tires on a 6" Rancho lifted 2500 Chevy after 30k - not something with at least decent shocks.

    I mean BP-51 are definitely not something I'd even call a great suspension kit but it shouldn't be having those issues out of the box. If this is how OME valves those shocks where this kind of wear is abnormal then there's no way I'd ever recommend them again.
