Hopefully this is the right spot but I need some engineering help.

Building a hunting platform, basically a stand alone deck, and its 8'x6' and the platform is roughly 6ft high. Its not on level ground but the joists are all level and the posts are all plumb. Thinking through cross bracing the posts and I'm wondering how important being at a 45 degree angle is? On the 6' ends because of our height, an X seems like it would get us close enough to 45. But on the 8' long sides we're looking more like 56/34. Are we better off going from the posts up to the joists on a 45, or does the angle not make that big of a difference?
