Hello i have a braking issue with my tacoma, the truck is a 2002 and had it's frame replaced by toyota 2 months ago and the brakes we're fine and didn't make the truck vibrate, but now the truck vibrates when i brake at speeds of about 40mph or over. What's weird is before they replaced the frame the brakes did the same thing, which makes me think it's not warped rotors or bad pads. The harder i press the pedal the less it vibrates. The steering wheel doesn't vibrate and the truck doesn't pull to either side. I have searched high and low for other people with the same problem but they have vibration transferred into the steering wheel typically. Anyone have any ideas?

Wish i could edit the title.. it should be brake not brade.. lol

I always thought it was the wheel bearings myself.. but it doesn't make a steady wheel bearing noise like it would when the bearings would when they are bad. Anyone ever experienced these symptoms? My rotors are less than 30k old and the pads are the same age. I do all my own work so I am familiar with my truck and I think it's the abs but I don't want to deal with the abs unless it's absolutely necessary considering the truck is only worth like 6,000

Yeah I've been hearing that alot. That it's common, or easy for them to warp. It still sounds like yours are warped to me. I have the same problem. Just haven't replaced them yet. Not gonna hurt it I guess. But I've heard of people replacing their rotors only to have them warp again shortly after. So ima get some good rotors and see what happens. All I can say is maybe take it to a trusted mecahnic and ask them to diagnose that problem. And if it is the rotors, get some nice ones. And be easy on the brakes.
And as a tip, if u don't already know, if u ever have to brake hard again after replacing them, make sure u put it in park and let off the brakes so they don't warp. Typically that's why they do warp, because after a hard brake the spot the pad is touching stays hot while the rest of the rotor cools quicker, resulting in warping.

I barely use my brakes, i'm use to driving tractor trailers as a living. But my buddy told me it could also be bad front shocks as well, the i have 12 year old shocks in my front end and he told me when they bottom out it might make the truck vibrate like i described. So i got under it and looked and there was literally 2 inches of travel, but i plan on replacing my rotors with some nice thick vented rotors when i replace those shocks. Hopefully it will never be an issue again.
