That's my one hang up, I don't want it wide, but I do want the abolility to run high speed when possible, does anyone know how wide a full lt is on comparison to a full size chev with wider wheels and tires for example?

I think it will wide, but ill all depends on tires, wheels and if you put new fenders

It will be, I just wish I had ran with both setup s, I'd like to see firsthand how much difference the extra 3'" makes over the 2" wide kit (and the lower springs with the sua). I guess the good thing is you can't end up with a bad setup either way! Lol

    wider stance (wouldn't bother me)

My problem with that is this, I go put a decent amount of cash into all that and in the end the gain wouldn't be substantial enough to give me that woe factor. Yes it's much cheaper than either option I'm looking at but in the end I know I'd end up looking for more. So I'd end up paying for long travel, plus the cost of uca and co etc. I wanna be able to go hard with this, I don't need it for a daily driver, if its down fit breakage/maintenance that'd be ok. If it were my sole mode of transportation then I wouldn't do it, I would do exactly what you said, because I agree with the reasoning behind it and the ease of maintenance.

Max do you think the additional flex/travel would help make up for the wider stance in tighter stuff? If I remember right it seems like you run a lot in the hills, snow, mud etc. would you ever run a sua setup? Or would you be worried about the clearance?

Yes it's not quite what I'm lookin for, I want something great all around, I love the sa for rocks, for the rest I prefer the ifs. I've had plenty of sa rigs, and a decent crawler can be picked up fairly cheap. If I decide to have a dedicated crawler then I'd get something just for that, I want to be able to hit the trails, desert, rocks whatever.

Out here I'm really only limited by length, width isn't much of a problem. So for me I think I could sacrifice for the extra travel gained if all other things were equal. I think that goes for most of these western states. You may have a little more trees up your way but I don't think the trails are as tight as back east.

As far as SUA, personally I'd never do it. I wouldn't be happy with the clearance. I never do high speed stuff across open desert though. I'd only want the LT front for the flex. I've seen people run technical trails with SUA so it can be done. Just a matter of priority.

    Just my .02
