Bradshaw this weekend on a pre-runner

We are doing the Bradshaw trail. Me on my pre-runner following a 4 Runner and Jeeps this weekend. Let's see how the pre-runner works out.

Have fun. Not sure what's going on with your route, but my understanding is that Bradshaw trail is further south than what you pictured / linked to.

Good point, we are going up summit and then doing part of Bradshaw and jumping up to Dupont Rd. But we will see how it works out.

The road next to the wash and all the way to the trestles is not bad and can be easily done on 2wd.

Found this camp site but did not like it. So we moved on to the next one.

This was better. We are setting up for the first night.

On the second day, we did most of the riding. First the Red Canyon Trail and then on to the Red Cloud road. Both of this roads were tons of fun. I did not need 4wd at all on Red Canyon. I did ask the rest of the group that was on 4wd if they used it and they said yes but honestly I did not have any need for it on Red Canyon.

Red Cloud was a bit different, it was 2-3 feet of gravel, I mean it is deep!!. I still manage to got through everything ok all the way up to the first set of mines. Some of the sections on the last 2 miles of the road had many rocks to avoid but I had enough clearance with my 33s 2KOs.

Jay's jeep coolant reservoir got a whole in it that we had to fix. We found some crazy rocks here. They were mostly metal and sounded like bells.

After going to the mines, I am heading down again on this sinking road.

 

The camping area, you can stay here or move up to the mines.

 

Looks like a great place to explore.

 

definitely... we do plan on going back soon because we did not get to the end of the road and there are many things to check out. We want to go inside the mines.
