My bad I meant molecules have lower energy so they have a lower vapor pressure at lower temps hence using lighter stuff to boost that vapor pressure back so winter grade has a higher RVP at the same temp as summer blend but of course you use it at lower temps. Sorry chemist think

Summertime I average in the low 9 litres per 100 km mark. With snow tires and winter gas it gets worse.

Hope you’re joking, if you think that, you’re tragically wrong.

I start out with good intentions on driving conservatively and saving gas, then I say F- it and start punching it and taking the gears up to 4k before shifting.
This thing is too much fun to drive slow!

An anomaly, but memorialized. Installed the garmin switch the other day and had the battery disconnected - upon reconnecting and subsequently driving down the mountain, I don’t think I hit the gas pedal once.

Not with those points, but gasoline will be available after you're gone, and beyond. Just because the feds ban new ICE car sales, they can't mandate everyone buys one. Internal combustion will be with us for a while more yet.

Hey its actually $2.59 right now  filled up this morning (had maybe 1/8 of a tank left) and the pump didn't even pass $50... feels good! One of the many benefits of living in a red state.

To add insult to injury... I only drive about 150-200 miles per week. I'm spending less than $150/month on gas since I bought this truck!

I agree, although EV's are the new hip thing, I fully believe the internal combustion engine will outlive everyone walking the earth today. With all the pushes to move away from fossil fuels, worldwide fossil fuel usage has only dropped some ~2% since the 1980s.

I don't think I have a pic of that, but the lowest it has been was 19 on a full tank of city driving. Most tanks I get at least 20.5... Granted I am a bitch on the skinny pedal.

i get anywhere from 23-27 mpg on 91 octane. was more like 19-23 with 87 octane. truck drives a lot better too. kind of shocked me how big of a difference the VVTI can make.

I average about 20.5-23 in my 18’ TRD OR, stock tire size ATs. Living in northern Ohio i think we are into winter fuel now. So it’ll probably stay closer to that 20-21 range. Not sure if my injen CAI helps at all, but I do drive like a grandma most days.

it actually runs a bit worse on 93. 91 seems to be the sweet spot.
