    Title was for attention. Haaaaa

Anyways just installed a 3 inch ome lift and new rims and tires. And my tires are rubbbing the frame not the body mount but the actually frame behind the wheel when at full lock.

    Lift
    3 inch ome
    Spc upper control arms

    Wheels and tires
    Toyota 4runner trail edition
    Toyo open country
    285/70/17

Anyone else able to run these rims and tire? What can i do to fix the rub? Curious what the back sping on these rims, cus ive read that these rims and tires would work on our trucks. Wondering if a wheel spacer would help by getting more back spacing. Help a braddah out shooooots.

More negative offset would help? Shoot anyone know the specs of these wheels?
Want to get an idea of how much spacer i will need.

I think the Trail Edition wheels are: 17x7.5 with 15mm offset

Maybe as little as 1/4’ spacer would work. I’m just not a fan of spacers.

Be wary of the 1/4" spacer plates...I bought a set of those for the same reason and they shorten the number of threads that your lugs will grab on the studs, in my case they were only grabbing a few so I didn't run them.

Actual hub centric wheel spacers like Spidertrax or the like would be a better bet

Something I also ran into. So I had to get longer studs. ARP wheel studs also got from summit.

Anyone else had issues with tires rubbing on frame that was fixed with more forward caster.

Don't think caster will solve it... More caster will help clear any rubbing on the pinch weld but I can't see it helping with frame rub at full lock

Really the only options are to get different wheels or run wheel spacers

just in case you decide to run spacers,
You could try using "extended tread lug nuts" (before replacing the studs)
but first, I would check how many turns you are getting
    For example:
-stock factory wheels, I got 9 full turns
-regular nut on adapter, I got 6 1/4 turns
-extended treds lug nuts, I got 12 3/4 turns

ps. I would suggest try to find hubcentric spacers if possible

    Thanks guys....

Getting an alignment this week i have the spc adjustable control arms to help with getting it into spec or better.

If like some of you guys mentioned and it doesnt fix my rubbing issue i already looked into spidertrax spacers. From.what i seen their smallest spacer is 1.25 inches. Idk of any other hub centric spacers that are as reliable. Anyone can chime in? I think a half inch spacer would do the job but i do want it to be safe for daily use.

Wheel spacers may introduce rubbing elsewhere, but another very reputable brand is BORA. The smallest they make is 3/4” and is still hub centric. The alignment should solve your problem though or at least most of it. Main thing they crank the caster high(at least 3°) and try keep the rest of the specs close to 0° as possible
