Brake clicking

    Anyone know why there’s a clicking noise when I brake. It’s o. The front brake.

    If you don't have abs, you'll need to explain more in detail on the clicking noise.

    Might be brake booster

    It’s more down toward the actual caliper. The caliper bolts aren’t loss. Would something like the pads be loose or something like that.

    It’s wasn’t clicking a week or two ago unless I was braking hard but this week it’s is clicking pretty much every time I brake.

    Will need more info on your truck. 4x4/prerunner 6 lug or 5 lug?

    You sure the rotor is not getting hit by the low indicator on the pads?

    Then I would take the wheel back off and inspect. Could be anything at this point. Old warp rotor with new pads? Is the pad lube properly? Shim? Etc

    Sounds like the problem I had after I replaced the pads several years ago. I had a metallic "clacking" noise when I tapped the brake pedal while the truck was rolling backwards. Both wheels made the noise. Tapping the backing plate kinda duplicated the noise. Drove me crazy.

    Then about a year ago I replaced the pads again, and the noise went away. I used Toyota OEM pads for the first replacement, and then Advic pads (from Advance Auto, part number N10101456304 ADVPS534 ). Other than that, I reused all parts.
