Trying to confirm the location of the brake controller connector on a 2021 Tacoma base. The REDARC instructions for their connector TPH-015 says it’s center left (location B) but I think I’ve seen actual experience on this site that it’s C, A, or H.

Anyone have actual experience on a 2021?

On my 2021 TRD Off Road, the harness was behind the driver side kick panel. Roughly where 'A' in your diagram shows. It is to the left and 'above' the dead pedal rest area.

I installed my Redarc and it was right there. I pulled the drivers door sill panel, then the kick panel (don't forget there is a thumb screw, i broke the screw...woops!) then it should be there. My connector was white.

Remove the driver's kick panel, you'll have to fish for it behind the connectors junction block.

Just installed mine a few weeks ago and it was like the photo above. Could not see it but felt around behind that wire harness and there it was

Same here. I was looking higher up thinking to myself.. WTF... watched a video to see the location and it was stuffed behind another harness with little slack on it. Had to connect it blindly.

Thanks, this is helpful. Where did you attach the box and ground?

That’s putting it mildly. I couldn’t find mine and only kept looking because I had seen a thread on here about it. Finally felt it and pulled it out to confirm that was is.

I mounted the controller with some of the 3M double sided tape to the side of one of the other boxes in that same area. It is also wedged into place so I’m not too worried about it coming loose.

The harness and ground were same as above on our 2021. Just thought I'd share a good spot to mount the controller. Super stable, and nowhere near the knee airbag.PXL_20210426_170930820.jpg
