Hi All, I am trying to wire a Brake Controller into my 2004 tacoma 3.4 MT and can't determine which wire on the stop switch to tie into ? Does anyone have any experience with this or can identify which wire ? From the Harness it appears that there are 4 wires, a Green/Yellow, Green/white, Black/White, and Blue/White.

From my understanding the Green yellow is power to the switch until the brake pedal is depressed ?

Also was wondering if there might be another location where I could tie into the correct wire as there is very little space/wire available in the current location.

Green/white is the wire you need

    Second! Green White

At the third brake light but much extra wire .

Although I might still like The Hydraulic controlled Brake control better

@Lawfarin and @Wyoming09 do you happen to know what the other wires in the harness are for ? and If you have done this before did you just you a tap connection for this ?

Just what harness do you mean??

Once these all electric brake controllers came out I connected at the brake light switch.

Always using a Meter to get the correct wire doing so many different trucks

A mechanical and soldered connection then Heat Shrink

From "Curts" instructions, your supposed to tie into the stop light switch on the cold wire which is under the dash, the harness that connects to it has the 4 wires that I mentioned above.

The Blue/White Stripe goes to the cruise control

The Black /White Stripe might be cruise control

Green/Yellow Stripe Always powered from the brake fuse

Green/ White stripe to the brake lights

Always double check with your Meter
