Just ordered a P2 and 3031-P harness for my BIL's 2019. Matches mine in our 2017.
Easy peasy, good internals, lo-fi display, and manual controls.

Really any brake controller that has the two following features:

    A) has to be proportional. Don't get a linear/time delay.

    B) the wider the possible mounting angle, the better. 180 degrees (can be mounted vertically or horizontally) is the holy grail.

    That's it.

If you want to spend more to have a fancy hidden controller like the redarc towpro, more power to you.

I personally run the Primus IQ. Cheap, effective, does everything the fancy ones do except it sure doesn't look pretty.

Prodigy P2, can be ordered with pigtail. Cheaper than P3 and I believe can be mounted in more directions. Mounted a couple now, spend most of the time figuring out where you like it mounted. 3 minutes in my 2nd gen, and about the same in my dad's Silverado.

Redarc also makes a really cool TINY little one. Think you can get a plate for your dash pocket for it. My buddy has been going that route for a few installs now. Great form factor, just a bit more $$$.

Redarc looks factory when paired with their switch insert and a bracket from another member here…

I also recommend the RedArc TowPro. I installed the Liberty model in my truck. Super easy to do. You can buy the blank button housing and the control knob fits right in it. Looks stock. Works really well. I tow my camper with it.
