So I was leaking brake fluid yesterday, right front at the caliper. There is a Les Schwab a block from where I work. Dropped it there, guy calls and says he's not sure where it was leaking from, best place to start was a new brake line (which he couldn't get till the next day) and if that wasn't it a whole front end brake job (pads, turn rotors, calipers). I ask him so you are just going to start replacing things until it stops leaking instead of finding out where the leak was? If you replace the line and it still leaks are you going to charge me for it? I went back and got the truck, took the line off. Hairline crack less than an 1/8" from the flared end in the caliper. No dealer within 50 miles had one in stock, one parts counter genius told me 5-7 business days to get one in. Went back to Scwab and showed him where the leak was. In the meantime he had ordered some compatible tubing and fittings and got me out at their closing time.

It is a $15 part at the dealer, I'm going to order one to have on hand
