I have a brake fluid leak at my front driver's side. It looks to be coming from the coiled metal tubing which drips onto the UCA. It's scaled and looks crispy.

What is this part? Is it an easy fix?

    Thanks.

It can be a bear. Honestly if it’s rusted the rest of the system is rusted. I would take it a licensed shop to get it inspected and repaired properly.

If it’s leaking there, other issues might be lying in wake as well .

plus you can damage the coupler it’s mated to if not careful causing a snowball effect.

They sell the coiled line from Toyota. I just urge caution with jobs like this.

Are you 100% sure it's brake fluid and not some other fluid? Since a leak anywhere in your braking system is a critical safety issue, I'd suggest skipping an internet opinion fest and instead take the truck immediately to a trusted mechanic for evaluation and repair. If it is a brake line going bad, it may fail catastrophically at any time and leave you with little or no braking. That said, it doesn't matter if it's an easy or complicated fix, it needs to be fixed immediately.

I'm assuming brake fluid because my brake light came on yesterday. It also came on a couple months ago, and topping off the reservoir turned the light off.
